All Flight Departures can be found on Level 5 (Check-in level) and Level 4.

Recommended Check-in Time 

  • International flights: Minimum 3 hours
  • European flights: Minimum 2 hours
  • Domestic flights: Minimum 90 minutes

Boarding usually begins around 45 minutes before departure but please check with your airline.

Terminal 2 Self Service Check-in:

From Terminal 2, follow the signs to Terminal 3 by taking the elevator or escalator down to Level -1, walking through the pedestrian underpass (bypassing the London Underground station), and following the walkway around. From Terminal 3 ground check-in level, take the stairs near the Virgin Atlantic check-in desks or the elevator/escalator located opposite Zone D down to Level -1. From here, you can walk through the pedestrian underpass to Terminal 3 with the route well signposted.

The Inter-Terminal Transfer by train between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 4 is currently suspended.

Free London Underground services and shuttle trains are currently available for Inter-Terminal Transfer between Heathrow Terminals 2&3 and Heathrow Terminal 5.

At Heathrow airport Underground ( Tube ) signs are very well posted at every terminal, Heathrow airport staff members are always there to help. All stations at Heathrow airport are well staffed and helpful tube staff members are always there to help with your inquiries. Heathrow airport has 3 London Underground stations – one for Terminals 2 and Terminal 3 and one each at Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.
